Apurahat / Grants

Walter Ehrströmin säätiön tarkoituksena on elintarvikehygienian, erityisesti maitohygienian, kehittäminen ja sen tieteellisen tutkimuksen edistäminen. Säätiö julistaa mainittuun tarkoitukseen haettavaksi tutkimusapurahoja ja matka-apurahoja korkeintaan 130 000 euroa. Hakemukset tulee jättää uudessa apurahajärjestelmässä viimeistään 31.1.2027 klo 16.00.

Apurahojen hakuaika / Grant application period

 
Vuoden 2027 apurahojen hakuaika on tammikuussa 15.-31.1.2027 kello 16.00.

Myöhässä jätettyjä hakemuksia ei käsitellä.

The grant application period is 15.-31.1.2027. Late applications are automatically ignored.

Apurahaa ei myönnetä, mikäli 

  • hakijalla on raportoimattomia säätiön matka- tai tutkimusapurahoja

  • hakemus jätetään säätiölle hakuajan ulkopuolella

The grant will not be awarded if

  • the applicant has not been reported previous travel grants or research grants given by the Walter Ehrström Foundation

  • the Foundation receives the application outside the application period

Apurahojen raportointi / Grant reporting

​

Säätiö edellyttää, että hakija toimittaa tutkimusapuraharaportin yhden (1) vuoden kuluessa apurahan myöntämisestä. Vuonna 2025 myönnettyjen tutkimusapuraharaporttien jättämisen määräpäivä on 31.5.2026. Mikäli työ ei ole valmistunut määräpäivään mennessä, tulisi tutkimusapurahan saajan laatia väliraportti..

Matka-apurahat tulee raportoida säätiölle kahden (2) kuukauden kuluessa matkan päättymisestä.

Tutkimusapuraharaportin maksimipituus on neljä (4) sivua, väli- ja matka-apuraharaporttien maksimipituus on yksi (1) sivu. Raportti saa olla vapaamuotoinen, mutta siitä tulee ilmetä

  • Tutkimusapuraharaportti

    • Tutkimuksen tausta, toteutustapa ja tarkoitus

    • Tutkimuksen keskeiset tulokset ja johtopäätökset

    • Selvitys siitä, miten tutkimus edistää elintarvikehygieniaa tai maitohygieniaa

    • Selvitys varojen käytöstä

    • Selvitys työhön liittyvistä julkaisuista sekä seminaari- ja konferenssiesityksistä

    • Vapaaehtoiset liitteet: työhön perustuva tiedejulkaisu tai sen abstrakti (voidaan myös toimittaa erikseen myöhempänä ajankohtana).

  • Tutkimusapurahan väliraportti​

    • Selvitys viivästymisen syystä ja mahdolliset muutokset työn toteutustapaan

    • Työn tämänhetkinen vaihe

    • Aikataulu, jonka mukaisesti työn on määrä valmistua.

    • Huom! Väliraportti ei korvaa tutkimusapurahan käytön raportointia. Tutkimusapurahan käyttö tulisi raportoida säätiölle heti työn valmistuttua.

  • Matka-apuraharaportti​

    • Lyhyt kuvaus matkasta ja sen tarkoituksesta

    • Lyhyt kuvaus siitä, mitä matkan avulla saavutettiin

    • Vapaaehtoiset liitteet: konferenssiesityksen abstrakti (konferenssimatkat), kurssiohjelma (opintomatkat)​

  • Huom ! Älä lähetä raportin mukana SOTE-tunnustasi

The Foundation requires that the applicant sends a research grant report within one (1) year since the grant was awarded. The reporting of research grants awarded in 2024 should be completed until 31th of April, 2026. In case the research work is delayed, an interim report must be sent to the foundation. ​Deadline for the travel grant reports is within two (2) months after the end of the trip.

The maximum length of the research grant report is four (4) pages. The interim report and travel grant report should not exceed the length of one (1) page.  The report can be written in free form and must include the following

  • Research grant

    • Background, methods, and purpose of the study

    • Principal results and conclusions

    • A statement, how does the study contribute to either food or milk hygiene

    • A report on the use of funds

    • A report on the publications and presentations related to the study

    • Optional attachments: scientific publication or abstract työhön perustuva tiedejulkaisu tai sen abstrakti (can also be submitted retrospectively)

  • Interim report​

    • A declaration of the delay and possible changes to the original research plan

    • Current phase of the study

    • Timetable for completion of the work

    • ​​Note that the interim report does not replace the actual grant report, which must be sent to the Foundation immediately when the work is completed. 

  • Travel grant report​

    • A short description of the travel and its purpose

    • A short description of what was achieved during the travel

    • Optional attachments: conference abstract (for conference trips)

Apurahat vuonna 2026

 

Vuoden 2026 tammikuussa tutkimusapurahoja haettiin yhteensä 132 589 € edestä ja tutkimusapurahoina haettavat summat vaihtelivat 2200 ja 12 879 € välillä. Matka-apurahoja haettiin yhteensä 44 545 € edestä ja haettavat summat vaihtelivat 1000 ja 4380 € välillä. 

​

Vuonna 2026  WE-säätiö myönsi tutkimusapurahoja yhteensä 83 498 € edestä ja matka-apurahoja 31 300 € edestä. Kokonaisuudessaan jaettavaksi summaksi muodostui 114 798 €.
